I live near the 2 FWY. I lived here my whole life, even before the 2 was finished. It was used for many CHiPs episodes. Anyway, as an adult, I spend many moments of my life on it, going Northbound to hit the 134 to either Valleys, or all the way up to the foothills. Or South to the 5 to LA or OC, or straight off it to downtown or hollywood. But when I was a kid i spent many hours walking over it, ON it, under it and around it. There is a pedestrian bridge spanning it. It's 5 houses up the street. I was one of the first of many to spray paint on it. I was in elementary school at the time. I walked across it on the OUTSIDE. Hanging to the chain-links, inching across about 5 inches width of concrete. I've ran across it, played badmitton over the center divider. I've laid on the surface until cars came. I was reminded of the joys this freeway brought me when I was driving under colorado blvd pass from the Eagle Rock Plaza, and I saw a bunch of kids running up it's banks, and sliding down the wooden beams that separate the giant slabs of concrete. I used to do that as a kid too. I'm talking 25+ years ago. I think it's great that the kids of today have discovered the secret slides under the underpasses.

So Christmas is in a couple days. I wish it was as care-free and fun as it used to be. I think it would be if people didn't worry about the gift buying and other obligations that come with Christmas. I don't know. My sister is coming soon. I can't wait. I miss her to death.

You know you loved them & their epic masterpiece pineapple face at our party the other year.
