Part 7 - The Bunny Hoppers (fin.)
So this is where this story falls apart. This is the perfect example where getting there was an adventure. And in this case, the adventure worth telling. The event went pretty much as planned. They visited the Bunny Museum in Pasadena, home of the worlds largest collection of Bunny Memorabilia. They picked up several bunnies at Memorial Park in Old Pasadena. Where they had the Easter Egg hunt - the eggs full of trash, cat-food & maybe some with candy. They danced the Bunny Hop. They had a Peep-fight that soon became a large clean-up operation - "Leave no Peeps behind". They all then headed across the street to invade the Armory Museum and next door to a wine-tasting parlor. They jumped back on the trains to Union Station and visited Olvera Street where Dak led the bunnies to an impromtu breakdance session. Jesus martyrd himself against a cross. The drinking continued. Some of the bunnies called it a day as the sun went down. Some went to other events like the SRL show in downtown LA's art district. The rest headed to Jumbo's Clown Room in Hollywood, where they were soon kicked out. These last bunnies, about a dozen of them, headed to the heart of Hollywood to close the night. They populated a local dive bar until the street punk show at a nearby Hotdog stand started. The dry bunnies went around the corner to Boardners while the rest bounced and bounced to the live music. I was right about H. He showed up with a fuzzy belly and some bunny ears, and he brought a few bunnies with him. Bunnies do like to multiply. So the night continued until the very last trains took the straggling bunnies home. The remaining bunnies faded into the blvd. It is, after all, Hollywood, where weird is the norm.
