the disillusioned warrior, part 3

...Once upon a time, there was this brave warrior. But he wasn't always brave. Upon becoming a warrior he developed courage he didn't know he had. He would later become a magnificent warrior full of heart and loyalty.

One day, during a war, he met another warrior. But this was no ordinary warrior; he was a mage in warrior's armor. The mage taught him about life, love and freedom. Something he didn't know of being a dedicated warrior. During the last war, he became aware of the true cause of the war. It wasn't about tyranny or slavery. The enemies weren’t foul under-dwellers; they were people of a completely different faith. He learned about holy symbols and their true volatility. His mind was opened by magic cast upon him by the mage. With this revelation, his loyalty to the throne dwindled, seeking knowledge his dedication to the sword dwindled as his heart changed direction. His newfound confidence changed his demeanor for what he felt was the better. But instead to some of his old friends, it was the worst. One of his friends, also a warrior and a Fool, took his transformation as an insult. His change, greatly influence by magic, offended this friend. Little did the friend know, but all the others Fools were also practiced and altered by the same magic. But this friend couldn't accept it and blamed all of the corruption on the warrior. The friend couldn't understand that the magic was just a catalyst and not the heart of the change. The Fools and their friendship was forever changed.
